There are many sites that will pay you to write or post.
These are the ones that I am earning with. As always some greart sites are only for Us writers and will not be here.

This site pays you to post questions in order to start discussions and to ansdwer questions on topics that others have posted. You can also earn more by submitting pictures and adding tags.
Great site to advertise your blogs and get referrals for your sites.

2. Helium
This site pays to write any type of decent article and rate articles. Each article that is written is in your profile and you can earn continuously from it. Each time someone clicks on your article a penny is given. There are other ways of earning such as (found on right side banners on helium site);
a. writing contests -more you write the better
b. marketplace - persons will pay helium for articles on specific topics from which you can select and the best article is chosen. the helium pays you a major %. I have made 34$ (2 x $17 articles) in one month with these articles.
Payout is at least $25 by paypal.

Search means that you open the email link to the search engine then choose/click on keyword of interest and open to a specific webesite.
How the email sites earn?
The search engine affiliates pay the site for a specific number of clicks.
In turn the seach engine operators will pay affiliates for each valid click -a valid click is one that opens to a specific website.
Therefore the more valid clicks the searchers make the more an affiliate will make which means more support for the PTRE site.
